In the talk, Dan Gilbert, a psychologist, explains why humans make bad decisions. He said the quoted words above, towards the end of the talk. They really resonated with me, because I often see resistance from people to make changes to their lifestyle due to the the fear of losing silly pleasures that will later have no value to them.
